Cheapskate In Laws

It was my son's 8th birthday and for a treat my in-laws took him out for the day. He went to the Rain Forest Cafe and then they took him to Hamleys and told him he could choose any toy car as they knew he collects these. He went for a set that contained a double decker bus and a taxi, which cost £14.95
When he got home we were going through the various presents he had received and I couldn't account for five pounds worth of birthday money. After checking through the various cards and looking in his room I discovered the truth. His grandparents has put £10 towards the present and had told him that he needed to contribute the extra £5 from his birthday money fund (he had taken his money with him in a wallet).
I never mentioned anyhting to them and my husband was too embarrassed to say a word, so we let the whole thing lie. Until now! And if you're reading this, Simon and Lorraine, you're schnorrers and you should be ashamed of yourselves!
